Tasks:
As an integrated safeguarding specialist for chassis project manager, you are responsible for the safeguarding strategy and planning thereof, and executing this in compliance with the hardware purchasing budget in conjunction with the project staff members within the overall context of the chassis objective system. In doing so, you will be responsible for ensuring continuous and coherent transparency of all planning/target data pertaining to the purchasing safeguarding supporter and the resultant hardware costs until the pilot production planning process is complete. You will contribute to reaching hardware budget targets by producing independent and coherent hardware optimisation proposals that are always aimed at reaching overall targets in an optimum manner. The integrated safeguarding specialist for chassis project manager, will be a member of the project engineer’s or concept engineer’s team. Preparation of the premises for safeguarding planning. Checking hardware budget/vehicle target figures and verifying them using premises such as the vehicle concept, new technology, modified safeguarding content and safeguarding deadlines. As a purchasing integrated safeguarding specialist you will independently develop and forecast a purchasing safeguarding plan for the scope required by purchasing using a system of indicators, discuss and agree this with those responsible for the concept (module leader, concept engineer) and forward it on independently. The integrated safeguarding specialist takes it upon themselves to ensure that the planning and target status in the project and technical department is transparent and is responsible for the consistent transition of various safeguarding scenarios.
Qualifications:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering (university/university of applied science) or technician/master craftsman with professional experience
- Command of English
- The ability to use MS Windows and MS Office application systems 3.3 confidently
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in conception/design or in the chassis sector with profound knowledge of chassis concepts, safeguarding and testing in the field of chassis equipment and shell construction. Professional experience in the field of chassis development (structure and/or chassis add-on parts, add-on parts and/or fuel supply systems), and/or professional experience in a vehicle development sector and vehicle testing.
- Awareness of responsibility, independence, personal initiative
- Open and active communication with the specialist departments and the project managers is a prerequisite
- The ability to assert oneself and determination to achieve safeguarding objectives
