Tasks:
Cost engineering is an independent competence centre within the purchasing and supplier network. As a cross-sectional service provider, it is responsible for analysing the costs of purchased parts, type-specific tools and development costs. We support purchasing, development, product line and controlling with analysing and optimising manufacturing costs throughout the entire product development process. In doing so, we make use of business management and value-analytical methods and are guided by benchmarks and best-practice approaches.
Tasks: As a technology-oriented cost engineer, you will be a calculation expert for plastic processing procedures within the cost engineering competence centre. For the early phases of the product development process in particular, you will perform best-practice calculations for technology-specific components and modules that will enable you to determine the best possible process and product costs irrespective of the supplier and to illustrate scope for alternative solutions with regard to concept value, product and process development. In doing so, you will use the technology-specific knowledge base for production and calculation parameters and you will actively contribute to its expansion and actualisation as part of the technology team.
